Founding Principal, Registered Architect in NY, NJ, MI, Member of the National Council of Architecture Registration Board, Member of the Institute for Urban Design, Adjunct Professor at Parsons School of Design, has received a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University in NYC, holds a Professional Bachelor of Architecture from the Milan Polytechnic University, has received scholarships from the Escuela Tecnica Superior d’Arquitectura in Barcelona, the Ecole Polytechnic d’Architecture in Paris-Villemin, the Haus der Architektur in Graz, Austria. Mr.Frugiuele has won numerous competitions and awards, including the: Europan 6 Maribor Slovenia, the Robbins Elementary School Trenton, NJ and the Teaching Excellence Award from the NJ Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. Mr.Carlo Enzo has taught and lectured architecture at the graduate and undergraduate levels at: Columbia University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania, NY City College, Pratt Institute and Parsons School of Design in NYC. Mr. Carlo Enzo speaks fluently 4 languages: English, Italian, Spanish and German.
UOA has been awarded numerous prizes for competitions and projects around the world, including the prestigious Europan 06, Maribor, Slovenia and the Robbins Elementary School in Trenton, NJ. UOA has also been featured in lectures and interviews and has been published in many books and magazines around the globe, including Dubai, Taiwan, Germany, USA, Italy, France, China and India. In addition UOA is able to adjust and interpret different cultures and different needs from International clients displaying a sensitivity to listening and integrating foreign cultures into the local NY territory.
UOA believes that good architecture is useful as a vehicle to inspire minds in addition to serving the functional purposes of daily activities. Perfectly executed details, flawless flowing spaces are paired with inspiring contemporary aesthetics, in an effort to create a unique vision for each project.
UOA looks at each project as a unique opportunity to develop a new and client specific environment, avoiding repetition, and aesthetic solutions used previously, while capitalizing on other work experiences, as far as efficiencies, execution and details. UOA work is contemporary and “pragmatically” visionary, combining aspects of cutting edge look, with décor of more comfortable and intimate nature. UOA’s goal is to provide a problem-solving design process, a contextually appropriate design expression and unparallel attention to technical details.
